The small uninhabited island of Al Safliya lies off the coast of Doha, 10 minutes from The Pearl.
A beautiful island which is the perfect destination to enjoy a swim, get the perfect sunset photo of West Bay, picnic, relax and enjoy water activities.
There are wooden umbrellas on the beach.
There are no restrooms or other facilities on the island. It is FREE to use the island. However, always wear water shoes as the beach has stones.
HOW TO GET THERE:
To reach Al Safliya, you can take a boat from either the Pearl Qatar, Box Park or Doha Corniche. There are many companies and dhows that can get you there.
ACTIVITIES:
The companies that bring visitors to the island and private individuals offer water sports on the island such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, paddle boarding and lots more.
NATIONAL CRUISE:
We booked and went with @nationalcruise_qatar.
National Cruise offers packages which include the dhow boat ride, food, drinks, toilets, majlis seating, tented eating area, water sports and change rooms.
BEST SUNSET SPOT:
To end your day, watch the sunset on the beach as the vistas of the Doha skyline offer a magical spectacle – the most picturesque spot to take photos.
