An intimate event was held to celebrate the unveiling of Building Bridges, a monumental exhibition by renowned artist Lorenzo Quinn, marking the arrival of one of Qatar’s most powerful public artworks.

Now proudly displayed at 21 High Street, Katara, Building Bridges stands as a striking call for unity. The installation features six monumental “bridges” formed by human hands, each reaching across space as a symbol of connection, understanding, and shared humanity.

Reflecting on the deeper intention behind the work, Quinn shares:
“As an artist, as a father and as a person, I aspire to leave the world in a better condition than I was born into. The world is a marvelous but precarious gift, where life on this planet is held in a delicate balance

The artwork celebrates the importance of building bridges rather than walls — a visual reminder that progress is born from empathy, dialogue, and cooperation. Through this monumental form, Quinn delivers a universal message of peace and togetherness.
The project depicts six universal human values — Friendship, Faith, Help, Love, Hope, and Wisdom — each embodied through the expressive language of the human hand, coming together to overcome differences and shape a better world.

More than a setting, 21 High st., Katara has established itself as a destination for art, culture, and creative expression—where public spaces are transformed into platforms for international dialogue. By hosting landmark installations and cultural moments, the destination continues to champion accessible art, inviting the community to engage, reflect, and experience creativity beyond traditional gallery walls.
