In line with its commitment to rider safety and well-being, Deliveroo Qatar has partnered with Infinity Quality Services to offer a specialized first-aid training session for its riders. This initiative coincides with World First-Aid Day, which falls on 14 September every year.
The session by Infinity Quality Services was designed for individuals without a medical background who want to be prepared for emergency situations. It focused on providing riders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond quickly in critical situations.
The training covered essential first-aid techniques such as CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). It also taught the riders to respond to emergency scenarios including cardiac and respiratory issues, severe bleeding, fractures, and environmental emergencies. Additionally, the session included a dedicated section on managing incidents involving infants and children.
Infinity Quality Services is recognized by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) in the United Kingdom. Following the completion of the training, riders were awarded a certificate, valid for three years, acknowledging their commitment to serving the community as part of Deliveroo.
