@inq_giftshop offers a large collection of well-designed, exclusive gifts, many of which draw their inspiration from the history, heritage and culture of Qatar. The shop, operated by IN-Q Enterprises which is the commercial arm of Qatar Museums presents art-inspired pieces and a retail experience that appeals to all.
What I love most about IN-Q?
They collaborate with local artists and designers to develop authentic and original merchandise.
MY FAVOURITE STORE:
My favourite gift shop is located at the National Museum of Qatar (NMOQ).
Interior designer Koichi Takada communicates his vision of bringing nature back into architecture through a magnificent design of honey-hued timber curves. The organic architecture of the retail store is inspired by Qatar’s Dahl Al Misfir (Cave of Light).
NMOQ even has a children’s gift shop which offers a diverse range of locally designed souvenirs and gift items including educational toys, books, puzzles and games.
Like the main gift shop, this retail space, designed by Koichi Takada and inspired by the Dahl Al Misfir cave, provides visitors with a unique interior area that compliments the museum’s building, designed by world-famous architect Jean Nouvel.
The gift shop is located on the first floor of the National Museum of Qatar and is open during museum hours.
Date: Saturday to Thursday
Time: 9am-7pm
Friday from 1.30pm-7pm
Last entry is one hour before closing.
Visitors can access the museum’s café, restaurant, and gift shops without purchasing a museum entry ticket.
