What makes a great hotel? Is it the decor? The fancy flower arrangements in the lobby or the number of amenities that are offered?

After spending two months living in Fraser Suites West Bay I have to admit that what makes a great hotel is the SERVICE and STAFF!

The warm welcome by name and every staff treating you like family is what sets Fraser suites West Bay apart.

Nothing was ever too much or a problem for this efficient team.

People like Mr Rezk, Marlon, Ai Hapipah, Jamilah and Sylvia to name a few make Fraser Suites West Bay into one of the best hotels in Doha. I have stayed in hotels around the world including serviced apartment styled hotels in Europe such as this and none of them matched the enthusiasm and efficiency that the staff showed us while we stayed at Fraser Suites West Bay.

The beautiful aesthetics of the building and modern contemporary apartments with spectacular views and a fully functional kitchen, gym, kids play area, entertainment room and pool area all made this experience a luxurious home away from home.

Fraser Suites West Bay has reinvented yoga with their brilliant idea of offering Yoga at sunset from a 47th floor helipad! The views allow guests a sense of perspective, as from this vantage point the world and it’s worries seem very small.

Presently available to the public and in house hotel guests.

Guests are provided with mats, towels and water. As it is beginners yoga, novices can join the class. Guests attending the class must be 18 years or older. As space is limited on the helipad, there are only 12 participants per session which gives everyone enough room. Due to it’s popularity it is advisable to sign up in advance.

It’s impossible for all your worries in the world not to fade away as the red ball of winter sun fades before you. This yoga class will transport you to another dimension and get you some of your best Instagram photos as you do your yoga pose with the sun setting behind you!

When moving to Doha and looking for a hotel for the weekend or a long term stay while finding your feet in a new country or if you are looking for a new furnished apartment I would highly recomend this new kid on the hotel block.

Factors to take into account when deciding where to stay in a new country would be where you/ your partner is working, which school you get into, is it close to a shopping mall and your budget.

Located in the heart of West Bay which is very central to most large corporates, very near to City centre and Gate mall and opposite three international schools makes this a very convenient choice.
