Top 10 tips when visiting the National Museum of Qatar

The new National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) tells the unique story of Qatar and its people.

A modern, vibrant and beautiful space that gives visitors a glimpse of Qatar’s past, present and future. A must-see attraction!

1) Check the Qatar Museums website before your visit to see if there are any events or workshops running and plan your visit.

2) Sign up for Culture Pass online or while you are there and take advantage of discounts at the souvenir store, restaurants, events and workshops.

3) Plan a minimum of atleast 3hours to fully enjoy the museum. There are limited activities and interactive exhibits for very small kids at this time. School-aged children will enjoy it more.

4) The museum is VERY Instagrammable. Wear something that would look great in a photo as you will want to channel the inner supermodel in you😉

5) ☕Enjoy coffee or lunch @desertrosedoha which is across from the main entrance. Be sure to show your Culture Pass Card and enjoy a discount.

6) The @nmoqatar is Wheelchair friendly and elevators are available.

7) Admission fees:
Entrance is free of charge for Qataris and Residents of Qatar. *Qatar ID required for free admission.
Qar 50 for non residents
Kids under 16y are free
Student discounts apply.

8) Entrance tickets are valid for THREE DAYS from date of issue and valid at two other museums within that time.

9) Visit both gift shops. You will find unique gifts to take home such as a Qatar Monopoly or a desert rose. Be sure to look up at the stunning gift shop ceiling.

10) Carry sunglasses as there is a beautiful courtyard and outside to explore. Don’t miss out on Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al-Thani’s original palace.
