Monoprix, Qatar’s leading retailer, proudly launched one of the ‘Eat Spain, Drink Spain’ events at its flagship Place Vendôme store, in partnership with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain. Running until October 8, the celebration offers customers an immersive journey through Spain’s finest gastronomic treasures.
H.E Ambassador of Spain, Dr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, participated in the opening ceremony alongside Spanish dignitaries, media representatives, and Monoprix’s senior leadership, including the COO of Consumer & Hi-Tech Retail, Mr. Sébastien Farhat, and Country Manager, Mr. Chadi Bou Antoun.
During the opening, H.E Dr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba highlighted that Eat Spain, Drink Spain reflects Spain’s commitment to promoting its culinary heritage and strengthening cultural bonds with Qatar. “We thank Monoprix for their continued partnership and support that strengthens relations between Spain and Qatar” he added.
A highlight of the event was the live food tasting counter, where visitors enjoyed Spanish tapas, cheeses, and beverages – offering a true taste of Spain in the heart of Doha.
Mr. Farhat also remarked that the collaboration between the two entities was a celebration of culture and culinary excellence. “We are proud to bring Spain’s vibrant flavors closer to our customers. Our goal is to create immersive retail experiences that go beyond shopping,” he stated.
