Exclusive behind-the-scenes with QATAR AIRWAYS

Ever wondered what it takes to keep one of the world’s biggest airline networks moving? We got to see it for ourselves!

We were invited by Qatar Airways for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Hamad International Airport, the Integrated Operations Centre and the aircraft maintenance hangar — and seeing the scale of the operation was incredible!

And there’s plenty happening this winter… Qatar Airways is expanding its network to 170+ destinations across six continents, with increased frequencies to popular destinations including Johannesburg, Zanzibar, Phuket, Malé, London, Melbourne and more.

Johannesburg: increasing to 18 weekly flights
Zanzibar: daily flights resume
Phuket & Malé: increasing to 21 weekly flights
London Heathrow: 56 weekly flights
Melbourne: doubling to 14 weekly flights

And if you like staying connected in the sky, there’s more good news — 150+ Qatar Airways widebody aircraft are now equipped with Starlink, with even more expected by the end of the year.

We loved getting a glimpse of the people, technology and incredible coordination that happens behind every journey. It definitely gave us a whole new appreciation for what happens long before we take our seats!

Which route are you most excited about this winter?
