Jiwan Restaurant-Qatar’s Hidden Gem

Discover one of the most unique dining experiences in Qatar @jiwanrestaurant

As day turns to night, the city stands still as the sun descends in front of one of Qatar’s most stunning restaurants.

The outdoor terrace boasts panoramic views over Qatar and the desert-rose inspired @nmoqatar

Majlis dining pods are inspired by the sand dunes of the inland sea or Khor Al Adaid, offering guests the best vantage point to catch the softly fading light of dusk over the ocean.

Jiwan’s contemporary Qatari menu has been carefully curated to take us back to the country’s roots. This Ramadan, guests can order either the 2 set menus or order from the carefully curated Ramadan à la carte menu.

Menu 1: QAR 250, menu includes two items of each course and paired beverages.

Menu 2: QAR 350, menu includes three items of each course and paired beverages.

The Ramadan menu is innovative, beautifully presented, filled with attention to details and a great introduction to contemporary Qatari cuisine.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a meal or stop for coffee and dessert at Jiwan this Ramadan before taking in the new exhibition @nmoqatar (don’t forget to prebook on @qatar_museums website).

• A Cigar menu is available. Shisha is not available.

• Culture pass discounts apply and QM Staff discount applies. Culture pass plus and family gives one 25% discount. The Basic Free Culture Pass gets one 10% discount.

About Jiwan Restaurant:

Besides being one of the best sunset spots in Qatar, the stunning restaurant boasts a beautiful story.

As a tribute to Qatar’s pearl diving legacy, four million Swarovski glass beads are suspended from the ceiling inside the restaurant which gently dance with the movement of the air.

Jiwan is named after the Qatari word for the ‘perfect pearl’, rose-tinted white, completely round with a lustre so pure that it comes alive with radiance.

The gorgeous Interiors are designed by renowned architect Koichi Takada, who was inspired by Qatar’s unique landscape and heritage. Takada has created a calm, comfortable environment where the desert meets the sea.

Every detail takes you on a journey – the carpet colour subtly fades from the colour of the desert sand to the light turquoise water. At the heart of the restaurant the colour becomes the deepest aquamarine blue.
