MUST SEE:

The HORMA CANYON & ILICA WATERFALL are located in the Kure Mountains National Park in the west of the Black Sea Region. The 3km wooden platform allows guests to walk through a stunning canyon which was the highlight of the trip for me.

Safranbolu is a quaint and beautiful town in the Black Sea region of northern Türkiye

Added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in 1994 due to its well-preserved Ottoman era houses and architecture. It was once a stop on the trade route between Europe and the Orient.

The beautifully preserved Ottoman architecture includes the old Çarşı district, with hundreds of red-roofed Ottoman houses on cobblestone streets. Many historic buildings can be found in the Old Town with over a thousand historical artifacts.

The name of the town is derived from “saffron” and the Greek word polis (πόλις) meaning “city”. Today, saffron is still grown in the village of Davutobası, to the east of Safranbolu.
