MIA Park 

MIA Park is a 25-hectare (62-acre) public space on the waterfront of Doha adjacent to the Museum of Islamic Art. 

Developed by Qatar Museums; the park includes approximately 2 kilometres (one mile) of lighted pedestrian stone pathways and a formal 800-meter (2,600-foot) palm ringed cove promenade connecting the MIA to a 5-hectare (12-acre) man-made peninsula of geometrically shaped abstracted dunes with panoramic views of the West Bay. 

Public art at MIA Park includes 7, a spectacular permanent installation by the American sculptor Richard Serra; Bench, a sculpture comprising seventeen limestone pieces that form a semi-circular seat, by Lebanese artist Saloua Raouda Choucair; and a sculpture by Dia al-Azzawi titled Hanging Gardens of Babel. The park provides opportunities for family relaxation
and is the location for numerous festivals and open-air events during the year. 

ENTRANCE TO MIA PARK IS FREE.

MIA Park is open 24hrs a day and has some of the best views of Qatar’s skyline.

If you don’t love walking, Free golf carts are available.

@voute.cafe and other food trucks are available at the park if you do not want to carry your own food.

ART AT MIA PARK:

At the end of the pathway there are large metal columns. 7’ by Richard Serra is a powerful installation. 7 steel plates each 78 feet high and 8 feet wide are arranged in a heptagonal or seven-sided shape. Don’t forget to stand in the middle of the installation and gaze upwards.

MIA Park is a great spot to stroll, enjoy the sunset, have a picnic, enjoy a coffee at the food kiosks and take in some of the best views of the West Bay skyline.
