Seafood Saturdays at Jamavar Doha-An Indian Seafood feast

Love Seafood? Love Indian food? Then don’t miss out on @jamavardoha’s ROYAL SEAFOOD SATURDAYS, a feast of bespoke seafood inspired by the royal kitchens of India.

@Jamavardoha is an elegant Indian restaurant @sheratongranddoha

Every Saturday, Jamavar celebrates the rich coastal culture of Qatar by showcasing a premium selection of seafood which have been tenderly prepared and are bursting with flavours of rare spices and ingredients.

Seafood Saturdays is an excellent deal for the quality of ingredients and the large variety of food included.

Guests start off with a soup (LOVED IT!) and salad. One then chooses 4 starters and 3 mains. The style of preperation of each item is left to the guest.

I do recommend to choose a different style of masala and preperation for each chosen item so that you are able to taste all the flavour profiles from different parts of India.

Starters
Mains

Everything was delicious but the lobster, prawns and hammour were my favourites.

The naan is served fresh from the tandoor and was worth every calorie!

Fresh naan from the Tandoor

Please leave room for dessert- a rich and creamy Gajar (carrot) Halwo and a light and delicate coconut creme brulé.

Desserts

Two drinks are included. We (obviously) chose the most instagrammable option. The lemon and grapes. Both were tasty and presentation was on point.

Mocktails

The Saturday Seafood special is QAR 235 per person inclusive of 2 drinks.
The price does not include water.

Jamavar takes its name after the intricate and vibrant 16th century shawls of Kashmir and first opened at The Leela Palace Bengaluru in 2001.

The restaurant was born from a love of the regional dishes of the Northern and Southern states and explores pan-Indian flavours from across the majestic sub-continent using a range of authentic cooking techniques
