The Pier at Four Seasons Doha

Discover The Pier, Qatar’s newest outdoor haven to dine and unwind. The perfect place to calm you down and restore your energy after a long day!

We were invited to dinner and enjoyed sunset at THE PIER, a casually chic outdoor seaside lounge at the Four Seasons, Doha. Located a few metres from the beach, one is rewarded with panoramic views of both the marina and Doha’s majestic skyline.

Only open during winter from October to May, the open-air venue has a fusion menu, combining both Arabic and international cuisine.

If you love to enjoy shisha with friends in a relaxing, chilled atmosphere then this is the place for you!

The Pier is open daily from 4 pm to 2 am.

THE FOOD:

The menu is made up of choices that are perfect for sharing which ties in with the relaxed atmosphere created at The Pier.

We tasted the Black Truffle Hummus(Qar 75) which combines a creamy rich hummus with black truffle chips and truffle oil.

Next up was the cheese and oregano Saj(Qar 65). As the open plan kitchen is also on The Pier I loved watching the chef artfully work his magic preparing the saj.

The dishes that stood out the most for me were the Arabian Caesar Salad and the Foie Gras Kibeh.

The Foie Gras Kibeh (Qar 130) was encased in a crispy outer pocket with a juicy spicy filling served on a crispy bed of deep fried pur which adds just the right amount of texture to the plate.

The Arabian Caesar Salad (Qar75) was delicious. A perfect blend of freshness, flavours and textures. Combining Lettuce, juicy watermelon, grilled halloumi cheese, zaatar croutons enrobed in a zingy creamy mint dressing.

Unfortunately, the mocktails fell short of our expectations. We tasted both the Salt of the Earth (a blend of pomegranate, salt, peppermint tea and citrus) and the Quadrophenia (A Rhubarb, Ginger, Vanilla and 7up mix). Both lacked a zest and punch.

The highlight of the night were the desserts and latte. I can’t honestly say which dessert was tastier, the comforting bowl of Umm Ali (Qar 55) or the refreshing Pier Sundae (Qar 65). I can’t wait to go back for that dessert..it was worthy of a cheat night.

THE SHISHA:

SEATING:

There are two seating options for diners at The Pier. The Five private luxury cabanas which have a surcharge or the Pavilion area which seats up to 50 diners at tables at no extra charge.

THE CABANAS:

One needs to reserve a Cabana and there are 3 time slots available:
     1st seating: 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm
     2nd seating: 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
     3rd seating: 10:00 pm – 1:00am

There is a Cabana reservation fee of QAR 1000 which includes a QAR 500 credit that can be used towards food, beverage and shisha. The Cabana can seat upto 8 to 10 people.

Four Seasons has hit the mark with The Pier by successfully creating a unique space to unwind in Doha. I strongly recommend going at 4pm to fully enjoy the spectacular sunset.
